If you’re like most people, you’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of the brand-spankin-new Apple iPhone, set to hit stores June 29, 2007. Ok, even if you’re happy with your Motorola Razr, you can’t help but wonder what Apple’s newest baby is going to look like and if it’ll even let you download the best mobile ring tones.

Many Americans and cell-phone users worldwide are scrambling to get their hands on new information regarding iPhone’s capabilities and features. The phone is expected to be sold for $499 and $599, depending on which model you’re interested in. What else can you expect from this snazzy new phone?

Apple iPhone Facts:

• No need for buttons-the iPhone has a touch-tone screen to make your life easier. Think of it as an amped-up widescreen iPod that can call people.

• The Apple iPhone incorporates media and wireless Internet into its communication scheme.

• The iPhone is supposed to be incredibly lightweight and sleek.

• Intelligent keyboard-this feature allows iPhone holders to send messages effortlessly without typing one too many letters or making a lot of mistakes.

• Features a 2-megapixel camera and advanced photo management applications

There is wild speculation circulating the Net regarding Apple iPhone’s downloadable ringtone capabilities. Like the iPod, many feel Apple will only provide ringtones through iTunes. However, some feel they will expand their horizons a little and open their usual Apple-access only doors to other ringtone providers.

In any case, for those of you who aren’t into this new contraption or who already love your cell phone service provider, 6StarReviews.com discovered DadaMobile in their cell phone ring tone reviews. They offer downloadable ringtones for over 10 service providers, including AT&T, so it looks like the iPhone would be compatible if Apple gives the go-ahead. Ring tone downloads can be found for virtually all music genres, from country to 3 Days Grace’s “I **** Everything About You,” specially chosen for your ex’s phone calls. Happy listening!

The gorgeous Apple iPhone with its dramatic launch has taken the telecommunication industry by storm. Whenever we talk about Apple, the first thing that strikes our minds is the iPod. But the Apple iPhone, a recent release, is another of its enigmatic creation that has once again proved the superiority of the company.

Like its iPod, consumers are expecting a lot from this glamorous iPhone. And the Apple iPhone has proved to be much above people’s expectations. As per the Apple iPhone reviews, this gaudy device is not just a phone but a conglomeration of multiple devices—a camera, digital music player, alarm clock as well as an Internet browser. It is also a fashionable mobile phone with a slim and sleek structure like the Apple iPod Nano and iPod video.

Talking about the iPod Features, Apple iPhone has a widescreen iPod with touchscreen controls. The touch control allows users to access independently the audio books, music, TV shows as well as movies. This multimedia Quad Band GSM phone is already dominating the mobile market through its superb qualities. Whenever you look around you will be astonished to find numerous retailers and network providers offering this beautiful phone along with various Apple iPhone deals. Despite its high cost people were seen standing in queue to buy Apple iPhone even on the very day of its launch. As per the reviews a record 8,000 Apple iPhones were registered in the Orange stores in the first day itself.

The Apple iPhone supports a variety of connectivity features like EDGE and Wi-Fi. It is further complemented with SMS, e-mail and visual voicemail facilities. This miraculous phone also facilitates users with call hold, call merge Caller ID, conferencing and visual voice mail. The visual voice mail is a unique quality in the Apple iPhone. With the help of this feature, users can hear and delete messages by with out following proper sequence, just by selecting them from a list on the screen. Users can create customised ring tones from the iTunes Music of Apple. Apple iPhone is of course a high-definition phone which deserves great appreciation.

iPhone applications that does not make it to the AppStore – Treasures lost to the customers

Stig Kristoffersen asked:

AppStore has over 30.000 applications on offer to you at the moment. Apple AppStore is a success with almost 1 billion downloads up till now.

However, there is a flip side to this story. Lot of developers’ makes applications for the Apple products IPhone and IPodTouch but their products never makes it to the AppStore.

Applications that utilize certain functionalities in the iPhone like cut and paste, video recording, streaming, MMS, filesharing through Bluetooth and batch processes does not make it to the AppStore.

Apple also reserves them to prohibit applications that do not fit into the vision of Apple iPhone usage, like podcasting, direct access to the GPS and competing email and web browser clients.

iPhone 3.0 firmware will make it possible to utilize some of these functionalities, but not all. Therefore there is a development of jail breaking of the iPhones. These hacked versions of iPhones can utilize the capabilities that Apple do not want users to use, even in the new firmware 3.0.

Some developers complain about the discrimination of applications launched on AppStore as they seem to be of competition reasons mostly, to the disadvantage of Apple.

This question the AppStore as a sole provider of applications to the iPhone, and will maybe force the upcoming of competing AppStore’s in the near future.

Apple has not taken any special efforts in fighting the distribution of applications made for the hacked versions of the iPhone as it may have a positive effect on the iPhone concept, as it creates a positive buzz and creative development around the product.

There are 10 applications that Apple does not promote on the AppStore, and they are;

Clippy that make it possible to cut and paste text between applications. This is a functionality iPhone users have asked for since the launch of the iPhone. You can copy a text message and paste it into an email. Clippy does not work with Mobile Safari though. This functionality is promised to be in the 3.0 firmware version of the iPhone.

Cyntact makes it possible to get pop-ups of the pictures of your contacts when you browse through your contacts list and not only when they call you as you do in the original iPhone software.. This enables you to quick get information you have on a person, either using names or pictures.

Voicemail Forwarder can forward sound messages to anyone with an email address. As iPhone solution acts as a receiver portal for sound messages only. The purpose of being able to do this is to either archive or forward funny messages to others.

Cycorder: enables you to take both pictures and videos with your iPhone, which is not possible on the standard edition of your iPhone today. The software makes it possible to record a video with up to 15 captures pr second in a resolution of 384 x 288 pixles.

MxTube: makes it possible for you to see Youtube videos on your iPhone if you do not have access to internet. MxTube enables you to watch your favourite Youube videos offline.

MiVTones: software makes it possible to play any video as a ring tone when someone is calling you. So its an advanced ring tone, instead of the standard audio version you can do on your standard iPhone. You can select between various videos for the various contacts you have in your contacts list, and share videos with others that use this application.

Adblock: is a add-on to Mobile Safari, as it filters out most of the advertisments on the websites you surfe. Then you do not have to suffer from slow downloads of web pages filled with ads in them.

FindMyi: makes it possible to find your phone at any time, anywhere through FindMy’s web page. The application makes it possible to track your phone with the help of the built in GPS functionality of your phone. FindMyi runs in batch mode all the time and does not conflict with other operations on the phone.,So if you fear your phone is stolen or lost, you can salvage data and lock the phone through this software and their web page.

The big screen fast internet connection combined with its user friendliness, makes lots of users attracted to the iPhone.

Men en stor skjerm, rask internett-tilkobling og brukervennlighet er det ikke bare mobilbrukere verden over som blir tiltrukket av iPhone.

The leading content providers for **** has according to Time Magazine embraced the iPhone to be the dream come through for pocket pornography. They are just looking forward to the iPhone firmware 2.0 that with 3G will have more speed than its predecessor.

iPhone is the most user-friendly telephone in the market and suited best of all phones to receive **** related stuff.

Apple does not comment on this issue at all so far, but has spoken out now;

”We do not tolerate the pornographic content is distributed via the iPhone, and we will ban adult content in our official applications in the same way we have limited the access to such content in our podcast section on the Apple Store”.

«iPhone porn»

Up till iPhone came to the market, most of the pornographic content on cell phones has been limited to pictures and juicy text messages and sensual ring tones. But thanks to the apparently good video capabilities in the iPhone, the most valuable asset within the **** industry, small video clips will be possible to distribute in the mobile content industry.

According to Google Trends statistics that keep track of our searching habits, the word “iPhone porn” has grown dramatically during the last year. On the internet several hundreds of porno sites have popped up directed towards the iPhone users.

The **** industry looks at pocket **** as a new revenue venue, and is investing lots to increase their content to iPhone. Today around 30% of iPhone users uses the video on their gadget at the same time as the majority of iPhone users uses more money on cell phone entertainment than any other cell phone users. It is these that the **** industry is targeting with their adapted content.

In 2007 over 200 million Euros were used on cell phone **** all over the world according to the analytical company Juniper.

As a consequence of the increasing easy access to the **** market, Apple has put in a parental function in the iPhone 2.0 to be launched July 11th.

Is Iphone Worth Its Price?

September 11, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

sandeep asked:

Apple, the software maker is more popularly known as iPhone maker these days. It is the most hyped gadget of recent times with a spectacular launch.

Dream gadget of users, wannabe device for style definers, and luxury device for rich people; it fits to all in each category. Its boasting looks and features have left others far behind in the race.

iPhone has been debuted in Indian markets also and for no surprise, it is selling like hot cakes. Host for a bundle of features and most significantly the touchscreen, the device lacks many basic features which are wannabe these days.

The article will enlist all such features:

Absence of Video Recording is the most disappointing feature of the iPhone. For INR 31,000, feature’s presence was must to have as is today found in most basic cell phones even at lower ends.

No high resolution camera: When market is flooded with phones having camera up to 8 MP, 2MP camera is still a very disappointing feature. It is really a very petty feature. Above all, optical zoom and flash are also missing.

Forget Cut, Copy and Paste: With smart PDAs in the market cut, copy and paste is a feature that makes its presence to be felt. But Apple is not in the same bag. It has stayed away from it and no surprise, has invited the rage from users. Usually, every PDA in the market is equipped with this basic utility but with iPhone you will have to type word by word everything same rather than copying it from say, like web.

No Bluetooth: Sharing of files or data on phones using Bluetooth is a common practice with cell phone users. But it seems that Apple has forgotten the fact while designing iPhone. iPhone can’t sync with Bluetooth stereo or in-car Bluetooth hands-free. It lacks A2DP on Bluetooth.

No Replacable battery: Most funny thing, you cannot change the battery of a cell phone at your own. This is really irritating but if you are an iPhone user, you will have to face it. To replace the battery, you have to send it to Apple store and then sustain for 2-3 days which is really very stupid thing to do nowadays.

Forget about sending forwards and MMS: Making it simpler, in nut shell it can be said that you can only send text messages or snapshots of e-mail texts, but completely wipe it from your mind that you can use your iPhone for sending MMS occasionally to your friends. Even sending the same SMS to multiple contacts at single point of time is rather a no feature and simply saying sorry impression for users.

The next sorry feature is the absence of support for Adobe files. In simpler words, you cannot view Flash files on your iPhone. Thus, the lack of Flash support for the Safari Web browser limits the access of several websites on the iPhone.

Above all and may be the most disappointing feature, it is really a tedious job to get support from operators in setting iPhone. No support for customizing ring tones. The feature that misses it on the list of professional users is the “push” email feature which is enjoyed by all BlackBerry users and is the best way for them to stay in touch with office while physically away from that.
